Relational Therapy and Coaching

I work with relationships because I believe they are a powerful way to interrupt systems of inequity and isolation by cultivating meaningful change in relationships that positively ripples into our children, families and communities. I believe this work holds the power to shift generational patterns and our collective understanding of what it means to be in relationship with others. I help those in relationships normalize and foster effective dependency and interdependence by implementing effective and loving ways to voice needs, engage in conflict and respond to each other’s emotions and attachment needs. From premarital/preventative work to restorative and emotionally corrective work, there is a place for your relationship here. I am LGBTQIA inclusive and allied and love to support all relationships. I have advanced training in evidence-based models of couples therapy such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples.

“Love has an immense ability to help heal the devastating wounds that life sometimes deals us. Love also enhances our sense of connection to the larger world. Loving responsiveness is the foundation of a truly compassionate, civilized society.”

Hold Me Tight: Your Guide to the Most Successful Approach to Building Loving Relationships

Individual Therapy and Coaching

If you have found yourself abandoning your truth, making yourself smaller in pursuit of connection and feeling both not good enough and too much all at once, there is a place for you here. I know just how daunting it can feel to step into the journey of unearthing your forgotten, scared and stifled parts and the reward of meeting yourself anew. How life changing it can be to stand firmly in your truth, connected to your truest self and in healthy relationships with others. When you work with me, you can expect to be met with compassion, humanity, advocacy and gentle challenges. In addition to supporting various mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression and helping people through grief, loss, relationship and life transitions, I also have an affinity for working with ADHD. As a person diagnosed later in life with ADHD, as well as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), I understand what it can feel like to be neurodivergent in a world designed for neurotypical brains. I will work with you to bring understanding, compassion and strategy to support and celebrate your neurodivergence, not fix it. I am also passionate about supporting individuals, and the collective, in improving their relationships with their bodies through a body liberation and anti-diet informed framework. I incorporate models such as CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion and operate from a systemic, humanistic, feminist and social justice lens in my work with individuals.

“Happiness is not dependent on circumstances being exactly as we want them to be, or on ourselves being exactly as we’d like to be. Rather, happiness stems from loving ourselves and our lives exactly as they are, knowing that joy and pain, strength and weakness, glory and failure are all essential to the full human experience.”
